Applicants must have Registered Professional Reporter Certification. Working knowledge of the court system, courtroom procedures, legal documents and legal terminology is preferred. This position will be based in Key West with some travel to Marathon and Plantation Key. Digital Court Reporter, Marathon: F/T position with the 16th Judicial Circuit. Cover court proceedings using digital audio-recording systems, keep annotations and log sheets and maintain tapes and recordings and provide transcription from audio files. Must have the ability to operate a personal computer, Microsoft word processing and spreadsheet software. Must be able to type 55 wpm and efficiently organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. High school graduate + 2 years or secretarial and/or clerical experience required, legal experience preferred. Salary is $31,664.64 annually, plus State of Florida employee benefits.
